Recovering from a week in Texas, my 3 most favorite things to do...or more. Travel, visiting friends and new places and meeting new people...(that's one). Clog dancing. And Photography.
Making for a difficult morning after all that fun stuff, long plane ride, followed by sleep driving...I tried to catch a few more zzzzz's after munching down some carbs. Possibly my last day to eat that crap. Did really well for 10 days...hardly ate any on purpose! Carbs, like sweets and alcohol, eaten just before sleeping, give me "pizza dreams". This was no exception.
Bear with me, or not, cause this may make no sense...unless of course it does.
Started in side of some kind of motor home/trailer. Someone else was driving...BADLY! Cause they were doing it with their knees, while spooning something yummy like chinese food into their mouth. Noticed there was no room for error which would have sent us into the ditch, and stalled our travel a very long while. So I insisted they STOP. No shit! In my dream, I headed for the drivers seat, and found a steering wheel buried in the middle of the bus blocked by a giant pole. How the hell were they driving this thing, you can't even see the whole road! Okey doke...ditch that, (not literally)!
In my frustration, my daughter, who in my dream, was still small enough to sit on my lap, exited the trailer with me, sat down and we concluded that we were content to just "be" together, and did not have to continue down the road with the crazy trailer people.
2 very happy people passed by wrapped in bubble wrap. I woke laughing.
Anaylize if you must, but my whole trip to Texas, no strict agenda, became the kind of adventure that I treasure. Rita Jo, Thunder and Lightening, the "map", RED leather, babies, watermarks, U=turns/frontage roads/'n gitt'n lost...a lot!.... and reconciliation/clarity/forgiveness. You see, I've risked and won. I am liking the woman that I came to know in Texas, and now she's home.
